The JCD382 ULTRADRIVE MINIDOCKcan be used with the MacBook Pro 13″/15″ 2016/2017/2018/2019 and MacBook Air 2018/2019. The dock gives you the ability to keep a Thunderbolt 3 port and add several standard connections. The connections include, USB-C3.1 Gen 1, 4K HDMI, USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-A x2 and a USB3.0 microSD and SDcard reader/writer through the two Thunderbolt 3 male connectors on the other side of the dock.

Thunderbolt3 uses the USB-C connector to deliver faster speeds (40 Gbps), more pixels (two 4K) and higher power (up to 100W) via more supported protocols (Thunderbolt, USB, DisplayPort and PCIe).
